Full Stack Developer

Compensation:$70,000 - $80,000, negotiable based on experience

Location: Montreal (Hybrid, 4 days per week onsite)

About the Role

Wave Connect is looking for a Junior/Intermediate Full Stack Developer to join our growing team and contribute to the development and maintenance of our web platform. You'll work closely with product and design teams to build new features, improve existing functionality, and leverage modern AI tools and technologies to accelerate development and deliver innovative experiences for our users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain web platform features using Next.js (frontend) and NestJS (backend)
  • Participate in the implementation of new features and product improvements
  • Use AI-powered development tools to improve productivity, code quality, testing, and debugging
  • Contribute to the integration of AI-driven features and workflows within the platform
  • Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, ensuring system reliability and performance
  • Collaborate with design and product teams to create intuitive user experiences
  • Write clean, maintainable code, tests, and documentation
  • Participate in code reviews and team discussions

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of professional web development experience
  • Experience with TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Familiarity with React/Next.js and backend development concepts
  • Experience working with relational databases (MySQL)
  • Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar
  • Understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
  • Degree in computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience
