General Manager, Powersports & Recreation Dealership

Company: One Path Group
Location: Spruce Grove, Alberta
Brands: Powersports, Recreation, Marine, RV, Trailers, Parts & Service
Employment Type: Full-time
Compensation: Competitive base plus performance incentives, based on experience

Job Overview

One Path Group is looking for an experienced, disciplined, and execution-focused General Manager to help lead our Powersports & Recreation dealership through its next stage of growth.

Our Sales & Finance division is already operating at an industry-leading level. We have built a strong, high-volume sales engine, a powerful finance process, and a growing national customer base. The next major area of improvement is Fixed Operations.

That means Parts, Service, Shop Workflow, Technician Productivity, Warranty, Internal Work Orders, Customer Repairs, Unit Prep, Delivery Readiness, and Department Accountability.

We are an expanding company with active plans to acquire and open new locations. We need a General Manager who can bring structure, accountability, and profitability to the full dealership operation, with a heavy focus on improving Fixed Ops performance.

This is not a maintenance role. This is a build-and-improve role in relation to fixed ops with a 100% commitment to integrating with the departments and personnel on the team that are already over achieving.

The right person will be comfortable leading managers, holding people accountable, improving processes, protecting customer experience, and turning operational chaos into measurable execution.

About One Path Group

One Path Group operates in the powersports, recreation, marine, RV, and trailer space. We serve customers across Alberta and across Canada, including remote and rural communities that are often underserved by traditional dealerships.

Our company is built on speed, customer experience, finance strength, operational discipline, and high standards. We are growing quickly, and we are looking for leaders who can grow with us.

Key ResponsibilitiesFixed Operations Leadership

This is the number one priority.

  • Lead and improve the performance of the Parts and Service departments.
  • Build accountability around work orders, estimates, parts ordering, technician productivity, repair timelines, and customer communication.
  • Improve shop workflow from intake to diagnosis, estimate, approval, repair, quality control, invoicing, and delivery.
  • Ensure units are properly prepared, inspected, repaired, documented, and ready for sale or delivery.
  • Reduce bottlenecks between Sales, Finance, Parts, Service, Logistics, and Administration.
  • Track and improve service revenue, gross profit, labour efficiency, parts margins, comeback reduction, and turnaround time.
  • Ensure warranty, internal work, customer-pay work, and unit prep are properly documented and controlled.
  • Create a culture where Fixed Ops is organized, profitable, and respected.

Dealership Operations

  • Oversee daily dealership operations across Sales, Finance, Service, Parts, Logistics, Administration, and Inventory.
  • Hold department leaders accountable to daily, weekly, and monthly targets.
  • Identify operational gaps and implement practical systems to fix them.
  • Ensure company policies, processes, and standards are followed.
  • Support the executive team with reporting, planning, performance management, and growth initiatives.
  • Help prepare the company for expansion into additional locations.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop managers and front-line staff.
  • Set clear expectations and follow through.
  • Improve communication between departments.
  • Create a high-performance environment where people know what winning looks like.
  • Address performance issues directly, professionally, and quickly.
  • Recruit, train, and develop future leaders as the company expands.

Customer Experience

  • Ensure customers receive clear communication, realistic timelines, and professional follow-up.
  • Resolve escalated customer concerns involving service, parts, delivery, repairs, or sales handoffs.
  • Protect One Path Group’s reputation through strong operational execution.
  • Maintain a client-first standard across all departments.

Financial & Performance Management

  • Monitor dealership performance, including revenue, gross profit, expenses, inventory, labour productivity, and department profitability.
  • Review reports and identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and performance improvement plans.
  • Improve margins through better process control, purchasing discipline, labour management, and accountability.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate has dealership leadership experience and understands that a great dealership is not built by sales alone. Sales may create the opportunity, but Fixed Ops protects the customer, the margin, and the long-term reputation.

You should be able to walk into a busy shop, parts counter, sales floor, or finance office and quickly understand what is working, what is broken, and what needs to happen next.

Required Experience

  • Previous dealership management experience in powersports, automotive, RV, marine, trailer, equipment, or a related industry.
  • Strong understanding of Fixed Operations, including parts, service, work orders, estimates, technician workflow, and customer repair processes.
  • Proven ability to lead teams and hold department managers accountable.
  • Experience improving operational processes and department profitability.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple departments and priorities at the same time.
  • Comfortable using CRM, DMS, service systems, spreadsheets, reporting tools, and digital workflows.
  • Strong business judgment and financial awareness.

Preferred Experience

  • Powersports, recreation, marine, RV, or trailer dealership experience.
  • Experience managing a service department or fixed operations team.
  • Experience helping a company scale, open new locations, or integrate acquisitions.
  • Strong understanding of inventory, logistics, warranty, and delivery readiness.
  • Experience working in a fast-growth dealership environment.

Who This Role Is Not For

This role is not for someone who wants to sit in an office and wait for reports.

It is not for someone who avoids hard conversations.

It is not for someone who only understands sales but cannot fix operations.

It is not for someone who needs a slow, corporate environment with ten meetings before one decision gets made.

Who This Role Is For

This role is for a leader who wants to build something.

Someone who can lead from the floor, the shop, the desk, and the numbers.

Someone who understands that growth without process becomes chaos.

Someone who can bring discipline to Fixed Ops while respecting the sales engine that already exists.

Someone who wants to be part of an expanding company with serious upside.

Why Join One Path Group

  • Expanding company with new location opportunities.
  • Strong sales and finance platform already in place.
  • Real opportunity to make a measurable impact.
  • Leadership role with visibility to ownership.
  • Fast-moving environment where execution matters.
  • Opportunity to help build a scalable dealership model, not just manage one store.

Compensation

Compensation will be based on experience, leadership ability, and proven dealership performance. A competitive base salary and performance-based incentive structure will be discussed with qualified candidates.

How to Apply

Please submit your resume and a short note outlining your dealership management experience, especially your experience with Fixed Operations, Parts, Service, and process improvement.

We are looking for someone who can help us build the next stage of One Path Group.
