Title: JUMP Basketball Fall Internship
Work Term: Sept 2nd 2026 - January 10th 2027
What JUMP is looking for: JUMP Basketball has expanded its Rep Program and is looking for a driven, entrepreneurial Intern who wants real hands on experience growing a sports organization.
If you think like an operator, solve problems proactively, and want hands-on experience building systems that impact athletes and families — this role is for you.
Job Summary:
This role is a start-up position that will provide hands-on experience in all areas of the business:
Your Role Will Include but not be limited to:
- HR - Helping to staff events, recruit rep coaches, referees, prepare training materials, and run training events, etc.
- Finance - Understanding and managing budgets of running a rep teams and rep events
- Sales - Manage REP & House League player registrations
- Customer Experience - Handle customer support (email, phone, social media responses)
- Coordinate weekly communication with key stakeholders
- Procurement - Procure league supplies/materials when required and be responsible for setup and takedown of events
- Coach, Referee and/or Convene at Rep Events/ Tryouts
- Marketing - Prepare marketing emails, IG communication, website, other promotional materials to promote the rep teams and events
- Provide in-gym operational support during key program launch weeks
- Represent JUMP as a high-energy ambassador on and off the court
- Attend staff meetings (virtual/in-person)
- Communicate effectively with: Founders & Staff, Coaches, Parents & Players, & Facility partners & vendors

Qualifications/Requirements:
- Enrolled in University/College (Sport Management, or similar program)
- Experience with sports and recreation, volunteering and/or coaching is an asset.
- Incredible enthusiasm, energy, positivity and dedication to help kids enjoy the game of basketball
- You are a great teammate and always willing to help
- The office location is in Mississauga
- The gym locations may be anywhere in Peel, York, Halton, Tri-City, and/or Durham
- This position will be a combination of work from home, and in-gym support at various locations in Peel, York, Halton, Tri-City and/or Durham
- Helpful skill: Tech background/ AI experience
- Access to a vehicle is mandatory

Schedule:

- Coach/ref in the gym 1-2 nights a week (weeknight 5-9:30pm)
- Hybrid role (Wednesday in office, Thursday/Friday virtual and in gym evenings/weekends)
- Weekend availability
- Coach / Referee and/or Convene at Rep Events/ Tryouts (Fri, Sat and Sun Availability mandatory on event days across GTA with access to a car)
Salary: $2500 Honorarium and up to an additional $2500 Bonus based on performance.
Job Type: Internship / Co-op
Contract length: 4 months
Pay: $2,500.00-$5,000.00 per year
