Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Contract Pediatric Speech & Language Pathologist to provide expert clinical services within a virtual setting. This role involves assessing and treating speech and language and communication disorders across a neurodivergent pediatric population. You will be responsible for directing, supporting and monitoring an onsite therapy assistant. You will work closely with the onsite Occupational Therapist. The ideal candidate will have 5 years experience in pediatrics, is willing to go on the RASP and has experience with different AAC communication options. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children and their families in a northern community.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ expressive and receptive language and overall communication
  • Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs and goals
  • Provide virtual direct therapy sessions and work jointly with an onsite program assistant
  • Collaborate with other team members to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of patient progress, treatment interventions, and clinical notes in accordance with healthcare regulations
  • Provide coaching and education to families on strategies to support communication goals
  • Stay current with clinical best practices and participate in ongoing professional development.

Skills

  • Proven experience working with neurodivergent pediatrics
  • Strong knowledge of AAC options
  • Compassionate approach with excellent communication skills for engaging patients of all ages.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with onsite team members. This position is ideal for professionals committed to delivering excellent, inclusive education and teaching to families, with opportunities for professional growth within the field of speech-language pathology.
  • Contract amount will depend on level of experience and support required

Pay: From $100.00 per hour
