Full job description
Blackbook.ai is growing and we're looking for a Senior Technical Business Analyst to join our team. You'll work directly on client engagements — embedded with client teams to deliver practical, solutions for our clients. These solutions can bridge across Data, AI, Digital and Automation.
This is a senior role, you will require excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to work with business and tech users to elaborate requirements, educate on what is possible. In addition to this you need to use AI Assistants to help bring the gap between requirements to technical UI interfaces or high level models.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Analysis
- Elicit, document, and manage complex business and technical requirements across multiple stakeholder groups
- Translate ambiguous business needs into clear, actionable functional and non-functional specifications
- Develop and maintain business process models, data flow diagrams, use cases, and user stories
- Lead gap analysis and impact assessments for new initiatives and system changes
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior business stakeholders and product owners
- Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and sprint ceremonies
- Manage competing priorities and conflicting stakeholder interests with diplomacy and clarity
- Present findings and recommendations to executive audiences
Technical Collaboration
- Partner closely with architects, developers, and QA teams to validate technical solutions
- Review and contribute to solution design documents, API specifications, and data models
- Support system integration efforts, including defining integration requirements and data mappings
- Participate in technical reviews and provide business context to development teams
Delivery & Governance
- Own the requirements traceability matrix and ensure end-to-end coverage through testing
- Support UAT planning and execution, including writing test scenarios and managing defect triage
- Contribute to project planning, estimation, and risk identification
- Mentor junior BAs and establish best practices within the team
Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead capacity
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Demonstrated ability to work with technical teams on system design, APIs, databases, and integrations
- Proficiency in requirements tools such as Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar
- Experience producing artifacts such as BRDs, FRDs, user stories, process flows, and data dictionaries
- Strong SQL skills and ability to interpret data models and schemas
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Exposure to data analytics, BI tools, or data warehousing projects
- Experience in Energy and Agriculture (Beef).
