Full job description

This is a hybrid position (work from office and from home).

Spinal Cord Injury Manitoba is a charitable, non-profit organization that has been providing essential, life changing services and supports to Manitobans living with spinal cord injury for 80 years.

The ideal candidate is dynamic, self-directed, and capable of establishing and building relationships with members, colleagues, allied service providers, and health care providers. The candidate will be part of a collaborative team and provide a range of services within a holistic, individualized rehabilitation framework.

The candidate will provide rehabilitation counselling, advocacy and information services to members and offer health-related education focused on the secondary complications associated with spinal cord injury. Duties include psychosocial counselling, completing comprehensive intakes to help identify service needs, developing rehabilitation plans, and assisting members in setting and working towards goals.

Individuals with Indigenous ancestry and/or persons living with spinal cord injury who meet the specified criteria are encouraged to apply. Preference for individuals with experience as an educator or trainer, ideally in a health-related field, and capable of communicating in French and/or one or more Indigenous languages. Travel required.
