Full job description

We are seeking Experienced Professional Support Workers – CYW, DSW, CSW, SSW, to join a dedicated 2:1 support team in Toronto.

This role supports a young male with Autism, intellectual delay, and complex behavioural needs. MUST BE A STRONGER SWIMMER AND WILLING TO SWIM AT A LOCAL POOL

You will play a key role in creating a safe, structured, and supportive environment that promotes emotional well-being, independence, and positive daily routines. This position is ideal for professionals who are calm, consistent, and passionate about person-centred care.

Rate of pay: $24.50 + vacation pay Shifts: Evenings 4:30PM-9:00PM and Weekends

What You’ll Do

  • Participate in swimming and provide support in the community pool
  • Provide consistent individualized support in a respectful, person-centred manner
  • Implement an individualized Behaviour Support Plan
  • Support emotional regulation, communication, and daily living skills
  • Personal care when required
  • Engage in meaningful daily activities that build independence and confidence -Must be a stronger swimmer willing to swim in community pool
  • Accurately collect and document behavioural data
  • Use positive behaviour support strategies to reduce challenging behaviours
  • Maintain a calm, safe, and predictable environment
  • Work collaboratively with the family and clinical team

Who You Are

  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual delay, Autisim
  • Knowledge of positive behaviour support
  • Strong documentation and communication skills
  • Reliable, professional, and committed to team-based care
  • CPI or SMG certification required
  • First Aid & CPR required
  • Vulnerable Police Check required
  • Valid drivers licence and reliable vehicle an asset
