What this role is all about:
The Senior Full Stack Developer (.Net and Angular) is a key role within the Digital Solutions team. You will play a critical role in using your expert Angular and .NET skills to architect, design, develop, and deliver the digital banking solutions that power the client experience of our financial institution. Reporting directly to the Team Lead, Digital Applications, you will take ownership of complex initiatives, drive architectural decisions, and mentor developers while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, secure, and scalable technology solutions that drive business transformation and enhance the experience of our customers.
This role is open for a remote working arrangement, within British Columbia. While we welcome candidates from across Canada, we anticipate filling this position with a candidate located in British Columbia.
What you’ll do:
Software Development
- Front –End – Architect and lead the development of modular, high-performance UIs using Angular, that enhance modern digital banking offerings, establishing reusable component patterns and ensuring scalability, accessibility, and performance optimization.
- Back-End – Design and implement robust, secure business services and API’s using C# .NET driving best practices in API design.
- Cloud / DevOps – Lead development withing a cloud native environment with containerized applications using Docker and mature CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps. Drive DevOps maturity and automation.
- Quality Assurance – Champion automated testing strategies (Unit, integration and end-to-end) to ensure high quality deliverables.
- Security and Compliance -Ensure compliance with secure coding practices tailored to our highly regulated environment.
- Collaboration – Participate as a key member of an agile POD participating in all designated agile ceremonies.
- Documentation – Produce Technical design documents and commented code that adheres to company coding and documentation standards.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Drive innovative practices including emerging trends in AI assisted coding and agentic coding. Suggest and implement tools, and methodologies to enhance system capabilities and team efficiency.
- Stay informed of emerging technologies, development frameworks, and industry trends relevant to financial services.
Collaboration & Communication
- Act as a senior member of an agile POD, leading by example in agile ceremonies and delivery execution.
- Partner with product owners, business analysts, and stakeholders to define solutions and translate business needs into scalable technical designs.
- Take ownership of end-to-end delivery of complex features and systems, from concept through production support.
What you’ll bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 7+ years of hands-on full stack development experience, preferably within the financial services or banking sector.
- Strong proficiency in front end and back-end technologies specifically:

- C# .NET (modern versions)
- Typescript, Angular
- API design and integration patterns
- Extensive experience with cloud-native architectures in Azure including:
- Containerization and orchestration
- API first and event driven design
- Microservices Architecture
- Proven experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing tools.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
- Understanding of secure coding practices and regulatory environments (e.g. PCI DSS, PIPA, PIPEDA, ISO27001) in the financial industry preferred.
- Knowledge of Core Banking Systems, Payment Processing, or Financial Messaging standards (e.g. ISO 20022, FDX) is preferred.
