Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shellstock Worker to join our team. As a Shellstock Worker you will be responsible for supervising the processing and handling of shellfish products. This is a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our products.
Duties:
- Sorting, and grading of shellfish products
- Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation regulations
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supervisors for timely replenishment
- Maintain accurate records of shellfish inventory and production activities
- Oversee the packaging and labeling of shellfish products
- Train and mentor new employees on proper handling procedures
- Conduct regular inspections to identify any quality issues or defects
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a seafood processing environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
- Basic computer skills for record keeping purposes
- Knowledge of safety and sanitation regulations in the food industry
