Job Summary

Midland Food is a dynamic and growing frozen seafood wholesale distributor serving the Greater Toronto Area. We specialize in delivering high-quality frozen seafood and food products to restaurants, retail markets and other food service businesses.

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Warehouse Worker to join our operations team.

Responsibilities

  • Receive incoming shipments from suppliers; verify quantities and inspect goods for damage
  • Sort and place products in designated warehouse locations according to established procedures
  • Pick and prepare orders accurately based on customer order sheets
  • Pack and label products for outbound shipment and coordinate handoff to logistics carriers
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with annual full inventory counts
  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Use barcode scanners and warehouse management systems to record stock movement
  • Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment in compliance with food safety standards
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and logistics team to meet daily throughput targets

Qualifications

  • Prior warehouse, logistics or food distribution experience is an asset
  • Ability to work in a refrigerated / frozen environment
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy goods (up to 50 lbs) on a sustained basis
  • Forklift license
  • Basic computer or barcode scanner operation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and a sense of responsibility
  • Bilingual in English and Chinese (Cantonese or Mandarin) preferred

Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
