Full job description

A prestigious private members’ club in the North GTA is seeking an Executive Chef to lead its culinary program. This is a unique opportunity for a grounded, hands-on culinary leader who understands the balance required in club dining—delivering consistency and comfort while still elevating the experience through thoughtful, restrained creativity. You will bring a calm, organized, and resilient leadership style, with the ability to thrive in a high-expectation, member-focused environment. The role requires someone who values precision and consistency as much as innovation, and who takes pride in developing both the food and the people behind it. The Executive Chef is responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations within a private club setting, ensuring a consistently high standard of food quality, presentation, and service. This leader will manage a dedicated brigade, deliver a mix of à la carte dining, member favourites, wine dinners, and special events, and work closely with club leadership to evolve the culinary offering in line with member expectations.

Salary Range is $110,000 – $120,000 base plus bonus

Description

  • Lead all kitchen operations, ensuring consistent execution of daily service and club dining programs
  • Develop menus that balance creativity with member-driven favourites and expectations
  • Plan and execute wine dinners, themed events, and private functions with attention to detail and polish
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing kitchen brigade, building structure, accountability, and pride in execution
  • Maintain strong cost controls, food quality standards, and kitchen operational efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health standards
  • Partner closely with front-of-house leadership to ensure seamless member experience delivery
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and supplier relationships to ensure quality and consistency
  • Maintain a calm, organized presence in a high-pressure, high-visibility environment

Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Executive Chef or senior culinary leader, ideally within private club, hotel, or high-end restaurant environments
  • Strong leadership capability with a track record of building, training, and retaining kitchen teams
  • Ability to deliver both refined event dining and consistent, high-quality à la carte service
  • Deep understanding of menu development and classic culinary execution
  • Highly organized, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented in execution
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across FOH and management teams
  • Hands-on leadership style with a willingness to be actively involved on the line

Corporate Culture

  • Opportunity to lead a respected private members’ club culinary program
  • Stable, year-round environment with strong member loyalty and expectations
  • Creative freedom within a structured, quality-driven framework
  • Supportive leadership team and collaborative club culture
  • Competitive compensation package: $110,000 – $120,000 base plus bonus
  • Full paid benefits package
  • Opportunity to elevate a high-performing culinary team in a premium setting
