Axis Vac and HDD Services is seeking safety-driven, reliable candidates to join our staff and help grow our successful business as we meet the needs of our customers. We are currently seeking a full time construction supervisor with telecom experience.

Out-of-town work/ travel is a requirement for this position but the position is based in Saskatoon.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION:

· Follows Axis’ EHS Policy and program

. 3+ years of construction supervisory experience

. Report to the operations manager/project coordinator on day to day projects etc.

· Must identify all unsafe working conditions and possess and exhibit a strong safety insight

· Ensure safe completion of projects on time

· Analyze and interpret job specifications safely

· Must be willing to work long hours outdoors when needed in all weather conditions

· Must have own transportation to shop

· Must provide a clean driver’s abstract

QUALIFICATIONS Project Management:

· 3+ years previous experience

· First hand knowledge of underground utility construction with telecom experience being ideal, but can be trained

· Ability to coordinate work sites and workers, manage projects, manage budgets, track progress, complete as builts and deal with clients.

· Experience with telecommunications installation including fibre to the premises

· Interpret as builds and drawings for construction

· Experience with underground utilities and 1st call for calling in/ managing locates (SaskEnergy, SaskPower, Sasktel, Telus, Shaw) and civil construction work.

· Critical thinking and mechanical inclination an asset

· Leadership management, CPR - First Aid, CSTS or SCOT, and Ground Disturbance required, Professional project manager (ppm) an asset.
