SQL Server Data Analyst jobs

Procase Consulting is looking for an experienced Senior Systems Analyst with strong Oracle SQL and PL/SQL knowledge to support complex Oracle-based enterprise applications.

This is a senior, hands-on systems analysis role responsible for the intake, triage, analysis and coordination of production support issues and system enhancements. The analyst acts as the primary bridge between business users, project managers, QA analysts and the development team.

The successful candidate will investigate reported issues, identify affected system areas, document findings and requirements, prepare focused system specifications, and coordinate work with the appropriate developer. The analyst remains involved throughout implementation and testing to clarify requirements, answer questions and keep stakeholders informed.

This is not primarily a software development or people-management role. Strong technical knowledge is required to understand Oracle application logic, investigate issues and provide clear direction to development.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the intake, triage and analysis of production support issues and enhancement requests.
• Reproduce reported issues, compare expected versus actual behaviour, and determine whether problems relate to application screens, back-end logic, reports, scheduled jobs, data, integrations, configuration or user expectations.
• Document findings, business rules, affected system areas, reproduction steps and recommended next actions.
• Prepare focused functional or system specifications for enhancements.
• Route and coordinate analyzed work with the appropriate developer based on the affected module and technical area.
• Remain involved during implementation and testing by clarifying requirements, reviewing findings and coordinating communication between business users, developers, QA analysts, product owners and project managers.

Required Skills and Experience

• 7+ years of systems analysis, business analysis or related application analysis experience.
• 7+ years of experience preparing requirements, functional specifications, system analysis documents, technical impact assessments or similar documentation.
• 10+ years of experience working with Oracle SQL and PL/SQL.
• Strong Oracle development or application-support background.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, stored procedures, packages, functions, triggers, views and data-driven application logic.
• Experience independently investigating and triaging production issues and enhancement requests.
• Experience analyzing complex business applications involving screens, reports, scheduled jobs, integrations, workflows and business rules.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work directly with both business and technical users.
• Ability to work independently, ask the right questions, make sound recommendations and follow work through implementation and testing.

Preferred Skills

• Oracle APEX experience.
• Experience with financial, insurance, healthcare, ERP, regulated or other complex enterprise systems.
• Jira or similar issue-tracking tools.
• Experience coordinating support and enhancement backlogs.
• Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments.
• Previous experience as a Senior Systems Analyst, Application Support Lead or similar technical analyst role.
