Customer Service & Sales Associate

Company: RONA Fort Nelson

Location: 4432 - 50th Avenue North, Fort Nelson, BC

Employment Type: Full-Time

At RONA Fort Nelson, we are the go-to spot for local contractors and homeowners. We’re looking for a motivated Sales Associate to join our team, share their building knowledge, and provide excellent customer service to our community.

We are currently seeking a dynamic Sales Associate for a fast-paced retail enviroment

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their shopping needs
  • Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits
  • Provide knowledgeable guidance on merchandise, including technology products
  • Perform upselling and suggestive selling to enhance customer experience and sales
  • Operate POS systems for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
  • Manage merchandising displays to ensure attractive and organized presentation of products
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment
  • Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism using proper phone etiquette
  • Support store organization through effective time management and organizational skills
  • Ensure excellent customer service by addressing questions and resolving issues promptly

Skills

  • Multilingual or bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer bases effectively
  • Experience in retail sales, especially in technology or product sales environments
  • Strong communication skills for engaging customers and explaining product features
  • Proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic math skills for transactions
  • Ability to perform product demos confidently and persuasively
  • Knowledge of merchandising principles and store organization techniques
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
  • Customer service orientation with a friendly demeanor and professional phone etiquette
  • Upselling skills to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Organizational skills for maintaining a clean, well-stocked sales floor
