Job Title: Warehouse Operator

Job Description

This role focuses on efficiently handling products within a busy distribution environment, including picking, packing, consolidating, sorting, palletizing, and receiving goods. You will use material handling equipment and warehouse management systems to move, store, and track inventory, ensuring accurate product rotation and adherence to inventory control procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, consolidate, sort, and palletize products according to established procedures.
  • Receive incoming products and verify quantities and conditions against documentation.
  • Load and unload pallets from trailers or staging areas in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Transport and stage pallets in designated storage locations within the warehouse.
  • Maintain proper product rotation to support inventory accuracy and reduce product loss.
  • Follow inventory control procedures to ensure accurate stock levels and records.
  • Scan and update product movement using warehouse management systems and RF scanners.
  • Operate forklifts, walkies, center riders, and pump trucks to move materials safely.
  • Handle materials up to 50 lbs and perform tasks that require standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods.
  • Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and resolve issues.
  • Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Essential Skills

  • At least 1 year of experience operating a walkie or center rider forklift.
  • Proven ability to safely operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and pump trucks.
  • Experience using RF scanners to track and update product movement.
  • Good communication skills to work effectively within a warehouse team.
  • Ability to stand, bend, lift, and walk for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Strong attention to detail when following inventory control procedures and product rotation guidelines.

Work Environment

This position is based in a distribution facility that supports retail stores, a national call centre, and an online store. You will work primarily on-site in a warehouse setting, using equipment such as forklifts, walkies, center riders, pump trucks, and RF scanners, as well as warehouse management systems to track inventory. The role involves frequent standing, bending, lifting, and walking, and requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. The scheduled shift runs from 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., Monday to Friday, providing a consistent evening work pattern in a fast-paced, physically active environment.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
