Who We Are:

Marci’s is a quick-service, gourmet salad restaurant located in beautiful Uptown Saint John. We are passionate about nutritious and flavorful eating, quality ingredients, the environment, and making a positive impact in our community. For us, this means providing yummy, nutrient-rich food that fuels your body, fills you up, and makes you feel great. Our salads are full of tasty, homemade ingredients prepared from scratch every day, from the dressings to the gourmet nuts. We aim to provide quick-service food that is interesting, delicious, and healthy all in one go. We are always looking for ways to minimize our ecological impact. Our fibre ware salad packaging is 100% compostable, and our smoothie cups and other wrapping is plant-based and free of petroleum products.

Job Description:

Marci’s Salads is looking for a Restaurant Supervisor at our Uptown Saint John location. This position is best suited for someone energetic, creative, detail oriented, and interested in working with a Company that supports their interest in delicious whole foods, community engagement and sustainability. Our Supervisor will be key in helping build our brand and must be passionate about our values and vision. If you are a self-starter who strongly values collaboration, healthy living, and strives to positively impact people and the environment, then Marci’s is the place for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Assume a leadership role in all aspects of the restaurant
  • Ensure the highest standards in food quality, consistency, and efficiency
  • Lead by example, while holding staff accountable for their performance and ensuring an excellent guest experience
  • Create a fun, supportive work environment
  • Evaluate daily changes in production vs. sales and minimize waste
  • Ensure the compliance with all related regulations, including Health & Safety and Food Handling
  • Help to manage wholesale and catering order execution

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working in restaurant environment necessary
  • Prior experience managing people an asset
  • Interest in nutrition and sustainability an asset
  • Teamwork, leadership and good communication skills are required
  • Kitchen experience (prep, recipe, assemblage and presentation) an asset
  • Comfortable in fast-paced and continuously changing environments
  • Able to stand for long periods of time
  • Food safety certification an asset
  • First aid certification an asset

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00-$19.00 per hour
