Full job description

Experience desired but not required if you are the right candidate. Cook and prep various item in a fast paced environment. Be able to follow recipes closely and have attention to detail. Have a passion for cooking and creating new menu items as well as improving current menu items. Be able to run a team with very little supervision from owner. Would like you to be able to start right away. Hiring full time and/or part time.

Dishwasher will be required to do all dishes. Work days and nights. Work open and close shifts. Prepares salads when required and some prep some items when not busy.

Summary

As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will be an essential part of our kitchen team, responsible for food preparation, cooking, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. This role requires no prior experience, but is highly preferred, making it an excellent opportunity for individuals eager to start their culinary journey. You will report to the Head Chef and assist with various kitchen tasks, including meal preparation, and dishwashing. Your core skills in food handling and restaurant experience will contribute to delivering quality dishes and ensuring a smooth kitchen operation in our fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Cook on line and assist in food preparation tasks under the guidance of senior kitchen staff.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food preparation areas.
  • Handle food safely and adhere to hygiene standards throughout meal preparation.
  • Perform dishwashing duties when help is needed to ensure a steady supply of clean utensils and cookware.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service and efficient kitchen operations.
  • Learn and follow recipes and cooking techniques to enhance culinary skills.

Qualifications

  • Basic food preparation and cooking skills
  • Understanding of food safety and handling practices
  • Experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is a plus, but not required
  • Ability to perform dishwashing duties
  • Willingness to learn and take direction in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
