Full job description

Job: Kitchen Steward / Dishwasher

Reports To: Executive Chef & Sous Chef

Classification: Full Time and Part Time Seasonal (must be available to work any shift
including early mornings, days, weekends & holidays)

Salary: $17 per hour or based on experience plus gratuity

Summary: Takes care of cleaning all dishes and cutlery used in a restaurant and helps with other tasks in the kitchen. Primary duties include collecting and properly sanitizing dishes, glasses, and cutlery, helping with food preparation, and keeping the kitchen clean.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Preparing ingredients by washing, peeling, and chopping fruits, vegetables, and meat
  • Cleaning cooking utensils, equipment, and kitchen area
  • Washing dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using dishwasher or by hand
  • Keeping the dish area clean and organized
  • In charge of removing garbage, sweeping and mopping floors, and ensuring the cleanliness of the kitchen area.
  • Adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines

Physical Environment and Qualifications:

· Must be willing to work multiple shifts including, morning, afternoon, evenings, weekends and holidays.

· Long periods of standing on your feet.

· Work in a fast-paced environment, with accuracy.

· Ability to lift to 25 LBS.
