Job Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Short Order/Pizza Cook, where your passion for food preparation and cooking will shine! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for crafting delicious, high-quality meals quickly and efficiently to satisfy our hungry guests. Your expertise in food handling, safety, and restaurant experience will help create a lively and welcoming atmosphere. Duties

  • Prepare and cook a variety of short order dishes and specialty pizzas according to established recipes and standards
  • Ensure all food is cooked to the proper temperature and presented attractively for service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including food prep stations and cooking equipment
  • Follow food safety protocols meticulously to prevent cross-contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations
  • Assist in food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning supplies
  • Serve customers efficiently at the counter or during table service, providing friendly and attentive support
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, notifying management when stock needs replenishing

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant service environments, especially with quick-service or pizza establishments
  • Strong knowledge of food handling safety practices and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting while maintaining quality standards
  • Excellent serving skills with a friendly attitude towards customers and team members
  • Familiarity with meal preparation techniques specific to pizza making and short order dishes
  • Previous kitchen experience within the food industry is highly desirable
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
