Full job description

Job Summary:

Our Cooks are all responsible for working together to provide an exceptional, consistent, and memorable culinary experience for our many diverse customers. We want team members who want to learn, grow, adapt and hustle in our busy restaurant; someone who’s not afraid of an intense and fast-paced environment. We expect our Cooks to maintain a clean, professional, safe and productive environment while also exercising extreme attention to detail.

Duties and Responsibilities:
· Prepare and serve dishes based on Inverary Resort standardized recipes in a timely and efficient fashion to ensure that there is no interruption to guest service

· In compliance with regulations and Resort policies and procedures, maintain a healthy and safe working environment by keeping work areas, fridges, equipment and utensils clean and in top working condition and by ensuring proper food handling and sanitation techniques are employed at all times

· Ensure overproduction and food waste are kept to a minimum by remaining organized and attentive in order to reduce food cost expense

· Ensure orders are put away effectively, quickly, and in a strategic manner to maintain freshness and to ensure efficient product usage

· Maintain open-communication with team and actively engage and share ideas and comments with culinary leaders

· Be continually aware of, and enforce, the highest standards of respect within the kitchen and beyond

· Be continually aware of, and enforce, the highest standards of personal hygiene and dress

· Any other duties as required

Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED required

· (1) year of food service experience in a similar setting required

· A certificate or diploma in a related field preferred

· Highly flexible, reliable, responsible

· Strong interpersonal and active listening skills with a demonstrated ability to positively take direction from supervisors/managers

· Able to effectively communicate in the English language

· Able to remain calm, focused and professional under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining service and product standards

· Excellent time and priority-management and ability to problem-solve

· Demonstrated compliance with safety and sanitation regulations

· Able to work cooperatively as part of a team

· Strong attention to detail

Working Conditions:
· Constant standing and walking throughout shift

· Frequent lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs

· Occasional kneeling, pushing and pulling

· Morning, evening, and weekend shifts as well as overtime as required

· Exposure to heat and noise in kitchen
