Job Summary

Join our vibrant team as a Cafe Team Member and become the heart of a lively, customer-focused environment! In this role, you will be the friendly face that greets guests, prepares delicious food and beverages, and ensures every visitor has a memorable experience. Your energy and enthusiasm will help create a welcoming atmosphere where customers feel valued and satisfied. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, customer interaction, and teamwork while contributing to a dynamic cafe setting.

Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of food items and beverages with attention to quality and presentation
  • Operate POS systems, including Micros POS, to process customer transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Handle cash, credit card payments, and perform cash handling duties with integrity
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in food preparation areas and dining spaces
  • Assist customers with menu selections, upselling items to enhance their experience
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times
  • Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times

Skills

  • Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environments
  • Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for efficient transaction processing
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks seamlessly during peak hours
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, positive attitude
  • Ability to perform cashiering duties accurately and responsibly
  • Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, pricing, and order calculations
  • Kitchen experience or background in the food industry is highly desirable
  • Effective communication skills for serving customers and collaborating with team members
  • Enthusiastic about upselling menu items to enhance customer satisfaction
