Line Cook – Full Time / Part Time

YORAMEN – Saint John, NB

YORAMEN is a Japanese ramen restaurant in Uptown Saint John serving ramen, abura soba, donburi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes.

We are hiring a reliable Full-Time Line Cook to join our kitchen team.

Position Details

  • Role: Line Cook
  • Hours: 30–40 hrs/week
  • Type: Full-time
  • Pay: $17–$20/hr (based on experience)
  • Location: Uptown Saint John, NB

Responsibilities

  • Cook menu items following YORAMEN standards
  • Work the line during busy service
  • Prep food and set up stations daily
  • Maintain quality, portioning, and presentation
  • Keep kitchen clean, stocked, and organized
  • Follow food safety and sanitation rules
  • Assist with opening/closing duties
  • Work closely with kitchen and FOH team

Requirements

  • Previous restaurant/commercial kitchen experience preferred
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable, team-oriented, and responsible
  • Comfortable with general kitchen duties (prep, cooking, cleaning)
  • Available 30–40 hrs/week, including evenings/weekends
  • Asian/Japanese cuisine experience is an asset (not required)
  • Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, or Filipino language skills are an asset
