Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and safety, with a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As a Sous Chef, you will play a vital role in supporting the Head Chef and ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently.

Duties

  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
  • Oversee food safety and sanitation practices to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Prepare and cook various dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and manage food storage to minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
  • Train new kitchen staff on food handling procedures, cooking techniques, and safety protocols.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
  • Proficient in various cooking techniques and methods of food preparation.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a team effectively in a high-pressure environment.
