Full job description

The BrockHouse Kitchen + Bar is one of Durham regions leading upscale comfort food/ causal fine dining restaurants, we strive to make as much as we can in house. We do our best to keep the menu fresh and exciting as well as run interesting features daily (including but not limited to house made desserts, pizza dough, sauces, game, and interesting seafoods)

If you want to work in a fast paced, exciting kitchen and have a good drive and a massive passion for cooking then this could be the job for you!!

Unfortunately at this time we are only hiring experienced line cooks with at least 5 years experience in a similar restaurant environment.

Line Cook Job Responsibilities:

  • Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
  • Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
  • Cooks food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
  • Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
