Full job description

Firestone Restaurant & Bar offers service industry skills training, a competitive wage, gratuity incentives, an employee discount, and opportunities for advancement.

Firestone Restaurant and Bar is a polished casual restaurant that utilizes a combination of cooking methods to deliver a quality eating experience for our guests. Our restaurant features acclaimed cuisine which includes fire-grilled steaks, slow rotisserie prime rib, forno baked seafood, and housemade desserts, among other things.

We require our employees to meet a high standard on a consistent basis and are committed to your training and development. We will provide you with the instruction required to perform your duties independently. You can expect to work in a positive and supportive environment, be compensated according to your performance, and receive timely and consistent feedback.

We expect our prep staff to:

  • contribute to a positive and fun team environment.
  • create all prepped items to the highest standard, following our recipes and procedures.
  • respond to increases in business, managing different paces and list sizes.
  • ensure all equipment, dishware, and utensils are properly cleaned and sanitized.
  • ensure that station setup and closing procedures are completed accurately.
  • maintain food quality and portion control at all times.
  • maintain cleanliness according to food health & safety standards.
  • follow all operational policies and procedures.
  • to be organized on their stations as well as when putting away orders.
  • to communicate questions or concerns swiftly with managers on duty.

Ideal Candidates:

  • will create and maintain strong relationships.
  • are committed to guest satisfaction.
  • have strong leadership and communication skills.
  • can lift and carry up to 50lbs.
  • can work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • are available to work evenings and weekends.
  • are professional.

Related experience is an asset but not required.

Full-time & Part-time positions available.
