Nori Japanese Restaurant is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and motivated Dishwasher to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen while supporting our commitment to exceptional food quality, cleanliness, and guest service.

Position Details

Job Type: Part-Time, Full-Time Permanent

Wage: Starting at $18.25-$19.50 per hour + tips (based on experience)

Availability Requirements:

  • Weekday lunch shifts (10:00 AM – 3:00 PM)
  • Sundays (full-day availability required)

Restaurant Hours:

  • Lunch: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
  • Dinner: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
  • Open 7 days per week

Responsibilities

  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment or by hand
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the kitchen and dish area
  • Assist with food preparation tasks as required
  • Receive, organize, and properly store deliveries and supplies
  • Keep kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils clean and well-maintained
  • Support kitchen staff with general cleaning and closing duties
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures

Qualifications

  • Previous kitchen experience is an asset but not required
  • Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Positive attitude and willingness to support the team
  • Reliable and punctual
