Cook Position – Join Our Team at Black Tartan Kitchen

Are you passionate about cooking, eager to develop your skills, and looking for a kitchen that values creativity, teamwork, and professional growth?

Black Tartan Kitchen is seeking a dedicated cook to join our small family-run team. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, a genuine passion for the culinary arts & hospitality, and at least a couple of years of kitchen experience.

What We're Looking For

  • 2+ years of kitchen experience preferred
  • Strong work ethic and reliability
  • Passion for cooking and continuous learning
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and willingness to contribute as part of a close-knit team
  • Creativity and attention to detail are considered strong assets

Schedule

  • Regular operating days: Wednesday through Saturday
  • Shifts scheduled between 11:00 AM and 11:00 PM
  • Schedule varies based on customer volume and staff availability
  • Restaurant is closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday
  • Additional shifts may be available for special events held on Mondays or Tuesdays

Compensation

  • Competitive wage based on experience
  • Weekly kitchen tip-out
  • 50% of all restaurant gratuities are allocated to the kitchen tip pool and distributed equally based on hours worked
