Full job description

We are currently looking for caring and passionate individuals to host / greet our dining room guests. We have roles opening for start in the coming two weeks. These positions are part/ time and will continue throughout the year. This role is perfect for students currently enrolled in high school who are looking to secure there first job or role in hospitality.

Know you will be trained to use Opentable and will be the first greeter interaction of guests. Your role will be to welcome guests, escort them to tables. This position. will be for for the following shifts. Additional duties will include resetting, clearing of tables, polishing of restaurant holloware.

(HOURS OF OPERATION)

Dinner

Sunday to Tuesday (5:00 pm to 9:00 pm)

Wednesday to Saturday (5:00 pm to 9:00 pm)

Brunch

Sunday Brunch. (10:00 am to 1:00 pm)

This is a perfect role, for candidates who are looking to generate extra income or are students.

NeXT pays $17.60 per hour plus hostess receive a share in credit or debit gratuity paid out by bi weekly. (raising to $17.90 on October 1st, 2026)

YOUR REQUIREMENTS

- You must be a people person, always have a smile when you meet our guests!

- Be available for 2 to 3 shifts weekly.

- Students working during school period will end shifts between 9:00 pm and 9:30 pm Sunday to Thursday. Know shifts on Friday and Saturdays end later between 10:00 pm and 11:00 pm.

- Be able bodied, this position requires you to stand and move actively, be able to multitask.

- This role is open to Canadian citizens who reside within the Ottawa Region along with students who possess a visa that will allow them to work while studying here in Canada.

-Living closer to our location is a plus for travel times.

WHAT IS NeXT?

We are a 11,000 square foot facility located in west end of Ottawa, Stittsville, Ontario.

We offer the following services:

- Banquet & Event facility for up to 170 guests in up two 3 different rooms.

- 120 seat casual dining room featuring a sharing menu concept.

- Take home catering, via our casual dining room menu.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.60 per hour
