WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING

• Participate with other members of the Nutritional Care Team to meet the nutritional needs of all residents
• Prepare snack items in compliance with Ministry of Health requirements and dietary standards
• Plate meals with care and attention to presentation and accuracy
• Deliver meals to residents while providing friendly, respectful service
• Clear dining areas, wash dishes, and complete general kitchen cleaning duties
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention protocols
• Maintain positive, professional relationships with staff, residents, families, and the public
• Opportunity to cross train in housekeeping and laundry

WHAT WILL YOU BRING ALONG

• Food handlers certificate or willing to get
• Vulnerable sector check that is less than 6 months old at the time of hire
• TB test steps 1 and 2 proof and 1 step in last 6 months until two step obtained in last year.
• Good communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always
• Able to work efficiently as a part of a team as well as independently
• Good organizational, time management, and prioritizing skills
• Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
• Be aligned with our company values and culture
• Availability for call-in shifts to support operational needs
• Work in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Long-Term Care Homes Act, and their regulations in performing duties safely and following all Crown Ridge Healthcare Health & Safety policies, procedures, and legislation
