FreshPoint, a division of Sysco, is the largest produce distributor in North America, we focus on bringing fresh food from the farmer's field to our customers' kitchens. Purpose

This position handles raw material and finish products, and it is a physically demanding role with repetitive grading, cutting and packing in production area. Depending on the working station, may require transporting product in production area, operate food processing machinery and assisting product change over

Pay Range :- $ 19.30/hr

Responsibilities

  • Grade and process raw material including but limited to cutting, peeling, and trimming.
  • Mix and pack product into bag, tray, and box.
  • Vigilantly monitor product quality.
  • Collaborate in and execute product changeovers (clean breaks) at various workstations.
  • Support the supervisor in preparing production records.
  • Complies with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Complies with Sysco's Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
  • Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
  • Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • May require operating food processing machinery and sealing machinery.
