Line Cook / Prep Cook — Vero Bistro (Kensington)

Vero is a small chef-owned bistro in Kensington. Short menu, handmade pasta, seafood, steaks, and precise plating. Dinner service Wednesday to Sunday.

We’re hiring a cook who can own prep and work the line during service — not someone looking for a huge corporate kitchen.

You’ll do

  • Daily prep: vegetables, proteins, sauces, pasta support
  • Line work during dinner
  • Keep your station clean and labelled
  • Follow recipes and plating as written

You should have

  • Solid knife skills and kitchen hygiene
  • Experience in a real restaurant kitchen (independent or hotel/bistro preferred)
  • Reliability on weekend nights
  • Calm under a small, busy pass

Schedule & pay

  • Full-time, dinner-focused (Wed–Sun)
  • $18–$26/hr depending on skill and speed
  • Staff meal
  • Mon & Tues we are closed

Pay: $18.00-$26.00 per hour
