General Manager
Reports to: OWNERSHIP
Summary of Position:
Oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, hiring, training and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee selection and retention, guest service, marketing, food quality, morale, cleanliness, safety and sanitation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Comprehend, monitor and ensure all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs are followed.
- Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
- Generate and recruit top-notch employee leads. New hire focus requires constant and comprehensive attention.
- Ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
- Achieving company objectives in staffing, sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
- Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures.
- Make employment, staffing, scheduling and termination decisions.
- Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
- Continually strive to develop your staff in all areas of managerial and professional development. Consistently improving the energy and fun factor.
- Prepare all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized and timely manner. Keep files updated to the business and local regulatory compliance.
- Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the facility’s receiving policies and procedures.
- Oversee and ensure that facility policies on employee performance appraisals are followed and completed on a timely basis.
- Schedule labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met.
- Be knowledgeable of facility policies regarding personnel and administer prompt, fair and consistent corrective action for any and all violations of company policies, rules and procedures.
- Fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees and guests.
- Assist in creation and carrying out of all marketing, advertising and promotional activities and campaigns that achieve sales goals.
- Participate and ensure all marketing, compliance, hiring, training, operations, and legal programs are instituted and followed to maintain compliance.
Qualifications
- Be 21 years of age.
- Be able to communicate and understand the predominant language(s) of the restaurant’s trading area.
- Extensive Casual Dining restaurant experience in a similar capacity. Minimum 5 years of management.
- Must be able to communicate clearly with managers, vendors, kitchen, front of house personnel, and guests.
- Be able to lift, reach, bend, stoop and safely lift and easily maneuver items frequently weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must have extensive cost of goods and P&L experience.
- Must be a dynamic, positive, and charismatic leader.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
- Be able to walk and be “on your feet” for long periods of time (up to 10 hours).
- Extensive knowledge of food safety concepts and practices.
- Must adhere to the established appearance guidelines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (excel, ppt, word) programs.
- Must have the stamina to work 50 to 60 hours per week.
- Must maintain manager level Food Handlers certification. Servsafe certification preferred.
- Must maintain responsible alcohol service certification

Qualifications requises
- Être âgé(e) d'au moins 21 ans.
- Être capable de communiquer et de comprendre la ou les langues prédominantes de la zone commerciale du restaurant.
- Solide expérience dans la restauration de type « Casual Dining » (restauration décontractée) à un poste similaire. Minimum de 5 ans d'expérience en gestion/management.
- Capacité à communiquer clairement avec les directeurs, les fournisseurs, le personnel de cuisine, le personnel de salle et les clients.
- Capacité à soulever, atteindre, se pencher, s'accroupir, et manipuler en toute sécurité des articles pesant fréquemment jusqu'à 50 livres (environ 23 kg).
- Solide expérience dans la gestion des coûts des marchandises et des états financiers (P&L / Pertes et Profits).
- Être un(e) leader dynamique, positif(ve) et charismatique.
- Capacité à travailler debout pendant de longues périodes (jusqu'à 10 heures).
- Capacité à marcher et à rester actif/debout sur le terrain pendant de longues périodes (jusqu'à 10 heures).
- Connaissance approfondie des concepts et pratiques de sécurité et d'hygiène alimentaires.
- Respecter les directives établies en matière de présentation générale et de code vestimentaire.
- Maîtrise des programmes de la suite Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Avoir l'endurance nécessaire pour travailler de 50 à 60 heures par semaine.
- Détenir et maintenir à jour une certification de responsable en hygiène alimentaire
- (certification ServSafe de préférence).
- Détenir et maintenir à jour une certification de service responsable des boissons alcoolisées.
Le salaire sera fixé en fonction de l'expérience.
