Position Overview:

The Hotel Assistant Manager / Operations Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management and coordination of all Rooms Division, Food and Beverage and Duty Management operations within the property. This includes the supervision of the Front Desk, Housekeeping, restaurant, lounge, liquor store, catering and banquet services, and the hotel guest shop. The incumbent will support the General Manager in overseeing and learning all daily hotel operations, ensuring profitability, operational efficiency, and the highest standards of guest satisfaction and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic and operational leadership for Rooms Division, all Food and Beverage departments, Liquor store, hotel lobby store and manager on duty.

Support and act on behalf of the General Manager / Owner in their absence, ensuring continuity of operations.

Supervise, train, and mentor management and front-line staff to deliver exemplary guest service, maintain and improve hotel service standards and SOP.

Oversee forecasting/ budgeting, cost control, and financial performance of Room and F&B outlets, ensuring revenue targets and profitability goals are achieved.

Maintain strict compliance with all food safe, health, licensing and building regulations.

Ensure all operational systems—including POS, inventory control, and reporting—are maintained and utilized effectively.

Direct and participate in marketing and promotional initiatives to enhance visibility and revenue across all F&B outlets.

Oversee guest relations, ensuring prompt and professional resolution of all inquiries and concerns, all reviews are responded to same day, driving Google reviews and results and all other booking sites.

Collaborate with the General Manager and department heads/supervisors to implement and monitor hotel-wide policies, procedures, and service standards.

Participate in the recruitment, performance evaluation, training and professional development of all Rooms Division and F&B personnel, supervisors, managers.

Qualifications and Requirements

Minimum 3–5 years of progressive senior leadership experience in hotel and restaurant management and operations. (Diploma / Degree in Hotel Management, preferred).

Comprehensive knowledge of Food and Beverage operations, budgeting, and revenue management. Excellent knowledge of liquor operations, wine, sprits and mixology.

Proficiency in hotel management systems, POS systems, and IT operations.

Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Strong leadership presence with a commitment to guest satisfaction and team development.

Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and peak business periods.

Be prepared to roll up their sleeves, support front line staff, willing to jump in to assist, leading by example.

Passion for hospitality, customer service, building teams, and commitment to excellence

Class 5 Drivers license and have transportation

Working Conditions This position requires a hands-on management approach and flexibility of work schedule based on business needs. The successful candidate must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Prepared to work extended hours per week of 45 to 50 hours to fulfill operational requirements.
