POSITION SUMMARY
The Office & QC Administrator provides support to our operational team and is approachable, organized, and customer service oriented. This position is responsible for financial administration duties as well as providing support for the implementation and enforcement of quality control and assurance systems and policies throughout Canadian Plains Energy Services.

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES
General Administration/Communication/Reception:
Represent Canadian Plains in person, on the phone, and through electronic communications. Communicate current information with clients and staff. Prepare and/or proofread written communications. Manage, monitor, and maintain area office records. Dispose or store according to company standards. Maintain a professional and organized administrative office.
Payroll:
Track and confirm worker hours and record accurate data for payroll processing.
Accounts Receivable/Payable:
Prepare, distribute, and track invoices for billing, and confirm, make necessary corrections, and file incoming invoices for payment.
Purchasing:
Enter and file purchase orders and track against incoming invoices.
Reporting:
Enter, post, and run reports such as transactions, project data, and requested audits.
Quality Control:
  • Assist with ongoing management of quality systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Maintain internal documentation and systems to ensure that established quality and process procedures are followed.
  • Distribute approved process and quality control documents to appropriate personnel.
  • Act as point of contact for document quality issues and provide support and solutions regarding quality issues.
  • Schedule and coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Maintain audit and training databases, and ensure all related records are up to date.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES
Required
  • Good understanding of Excel and an ability to be accurate on entry
  • Using Word documents and filling out forms
  • Working with a SharePoint environment
  • Ability to be methodical with a keen eye for detail
Optional
  • Office administration or accounting diploma (i.e. administration, accounting, commerce) is preferred
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of administrative experience in the oilfield construction and services industry
  • Understanding of Isometrics
  • Understanding of P&IDs
  • Bluebeam Studio experience
