Job Summary
Tommy's is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food service, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple tables while providing a memorable dining experience. This role requires a professional who is knowledgeable about food safety, sanitation, and restaurant operations to ensure guest satisfaction and smooth service flow.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their dining experience
  • Take accurate orders using POS systems such as Micros POS, ensuring clear communication with kitchen staff
  • Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
  • Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
  • Assist with food preparation and kitchen support as needed
  • Manage guest inquiries, resolve issues promptly, and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Follow proper food handling procedures to uphold health standards
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient restaurant operations

Skills

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant environment with a solid understanding of hospitality principles
  • Proficiency with POS systems, especially Micros POS, for order entry and cashiering
  • Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling techniques
  • Ability to perform basic math for billing, tipping, and cash handling accurately
  • Experience in food industry roles such as serving, food preparation, or kitchen support is preferred
  • Effective communication skills to interact with guests and team members seamlessly
  • Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest experience and revenue
  • Basic understanding of restaurant operations including guest services and hospitality standards
