Full job description

Assistant General Manager - duties include, but are not limited to:

Employee Relations

- Coach, lead and manage team members

- Assist with hiring, interviewing, onboarding & training of new team members

- Assist in scheduling & conducting regular performance reviews of all team members

- Develop & maintain positive, motivating & professional relationships with team members

- Ensure Smitty’s procedures & policies are being followed at all times

- Delegate daily tasks to team members

- Provide ongoing performance feedback to team members & set employee goals &

objectives

- Maintain and demonstrate professional work ethics & a positive attitude at all times

- Work on the floor and coach team members in real time

Administrative Duties:

- Develop all team member schedules

- Help with liquor & food inventory controls to meet & exceed annual budget

- Enter payroll information

- Manage cash and conduct daily paperwork

- Attend to ATM, VLT’s and daily cash flow

- Oversee maintenance and upkeep of equipment

Guest Services:

- Develop a professional, friendly relationship with customers & suppliers

- Manage the daily operations of the restaurant

- Maintain a clean appearance in all areas of the building

- Provide exceptional customer service

Key Requirements:

- Serving it Safe Certificate

- Food Handler’s Certificate (an asset but not mandatory)

- 2+ years in the restaurant/hospitality field

- 2+ years in a leadership position

- Excellent customer service and teamwork skills

- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods of time

- Organized with the ability to multitask & problem solve

- Must be able to work long hours, holidays, weekends and evenings

- Some on call work and a willingness to answer your phone on off time will be required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
