Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Kitchen Manager to oversee daily operations in our bustling food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves supervising kitchen staff, ensuring food safety standards, managing food preparation and cooking processes, and maintaining a high-quality dining experience for our guests. A background in hospitality, food industry operations, and team management is essential to succeed in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, including interviewing, hiring, training, and scheduling team members.
  • Manage food handling procedures to comply with safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Maintain inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control using POS systems such as CrunchTime.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling protocols.
  • Lead by example in providing excellent customer service and hospitality to guests.
  • Supervise serving staff and coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Monitor kitchen workflow to optimize efficiency during busy hours and handle any operational issues promptly.
  • Enforce cleanliness standards within the kitchen area and ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • Assist in menu planning and development based on current trends and customer preferences.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in restaurant management or food service leadership roles, including supervising teams.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Experience with POS systems such as PosiTouch, CrunchTime or similar platforms; cash handling skills are a plus.
  • Background in hospitality or hotel industry is advantageous; barista or bar experience is a plus.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
  • Knowledge of restaurant operations, including inventory management, food industry trends, and kitchen safety protocols.

  • Produce all menu items in an efficient and consistent manner while following the specifications of the company
  • Actively lead shifts, in support of senior leadership team members while helping to manage budgetary goals
  • Contribute to a positive team morale through contests and supporting team members on shift
  • Assist in ensuring the use of fresh, top-quality ingredients while balancing costs daily
