Full job description

Line Cook / Prep Cook

Regalz Kitchen & Bar is looking for a reliable Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team in Vaughan.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable working in a restaurant kitchen, can follow instructions, and is willing to learn. Previous kitchen experience is preferred, but we are open to candidates who have basic food preparation skills and a strong work ethic.

Experience with Nigerian, African or Caribbean cuisine is an asset, but it is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily food preparation
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to instructions
  • Set up and restock kitchen stations
  • Maintain consistent portions and presentation
  • Keep work areas clean and organized
  • Store and label ingredients properly
  • Follow food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Support the kitchen team during busy service
  • Complete opening and closing duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Some restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred
  • Basic food preparation and knife skills
  • Willingness to learn and follow instructions
  • Reliable, punctual and able to work well with others
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Available for evening and weekend shifts
  • Must currently be in Canada and legally authorized to work
  • Must be able to attend an in-person interview in Vaughan
