Senior Manager, Marketing
Location: Oakville Head office
Work Model: Hybrid
Compensation: $90,000 to $100,000 base salary + up to 25% year-end performance bonus

ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a growing company within the restaurant and hospitality industry. As the business continues to evolve, they are looking to strengthen their marketing function with a commercially minded leader who can bring greater strategy, creativity, structure and accountability.
This is an entrepreneurial, hands-on environment where marketing plays an important role in customer growth, brand development and business performance.

POSITION OVERVIEW

We’re looking for a Senior Manager, Marketing to take a leadership role in shaping marketing strategy and improving the overall effectiveness of the marketing function. You must also be comfortable rolling up your sleeves and executing as needed.

This is a player-coach opportunity for someone who can step above the day-to-day activity, set priorities, develop meaningful campaigns, bring stronger structure and accountability, and connect marketing decisions to traffic, customer growth, revenue and ROI.

You’ll also be expected to bring fresh thinking to the business by identifying new campaigns, partnerships, activations, customer programs and other marketing opportunities rather than simply managing what is already on the calendar.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is an experienced restaurant (franchise-based ideally), QSR, F&B or hospitality marketer who combines strategic thinking with strong organization, commercial judgment and follow-through.
You understand the pace and operating realities of the industry, can lead people and external partners, and are comfortable managing multiple priorities while staying close enough to execution to ensure things get done.
You’re also confident working with senior stakeholders and franchise partners, communicating results clearly and holding yourself and others accountable for commitments.

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
  • $90,000 to $100,000 base salary
  • Up to 25% year-end performance bonus
  • Salary review after 6 months
  • Health Benefits
  • 3 weeks of paid vacation
  • Hybrid work environment
  • Opportunity to influence the direction and effectiveness of the marketing function
  • Broad exposure across strategy, brand, digital, campaigns and customer growth
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
  • Lead marketing strategy, priorities and campaign planning with a focus on customer growth, revenue and ROI.
  • Identify and develop new campaigns, partnerships, community initiatives, activations and creative growth opportunities.
  • Build a stronger annual and quarterly marketing calendar and ensure key initiatives are delivered consistently.
  • Manage marketing budgets and make informed recommendations on where resources should be invested.
  • Establish meaningful KPIs and improve reporting so marketing activity, spend, and results are communicated clearly to the ownership group as well as Franchisees.
  • Bring stronger project management, timelines and accountability across multiple campaigns and priorities.
  • Build trusted relationships with franchise partners, ensuring marketing commitments and deliverables are completed consistently and on time.
  • Provide franchisees with clear updates on marketing activity, upcoming initiatives and performance results.
  • Lead and develop internal marketing resources, setting clear expectations and providing direction, feedback and accountability.
  • Manage agencies, freelancers and external partners and ensure they are delivering against agreed objectives.
  • Oversee key areas including brand, digital, paid media, social, content, CRM and customer marketing without needing to personally execute every channel.
  • Partner with senior leadership and other areas of the business on promotions, launches, customer initiatives and broader growth opportunities.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
  • Approximately 5 to 10 years of progressive marketing experience.
  • Direct marketing experience within the restaurant, F&B or hospitality industry is required.
  • Experience at the Marketing Manager, Senior Marketing Manager, Marketing Lead or comparable level.
  • Experience developing marketing strategy and leading campaigns with measurable business objectives.
  • Strong commercial mindset with experience connecting marketing activity to customer growth, revenue and ROI.
  • Experience managing marketing budgets, agencies, vendors or external partners.
  • Strong project management, organization and deadline management skills.
  • Broad understanding of digital marketing, paid media, brand, social, content and CRM.
  • Strong analytical and reporting capabilities, including experience establishing and tracking meaningful KPIs.
  • Experience leading, coaching or guiding other marketing professionals.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Ability to build credibility with franchise partners and communicate marketing plans, deliverables and results effectively.
  • Comfortable working in a growing, entrepreneurial and hands-on environment.
  • Experience with local marketing, loyalty / CRM, events, activations or new-location launches.

HOW TO APPLY

If you’re a commercially minded restaurant or hospitality marketer ready to take on broader strategic ownership while staying close to the work, we’d like to hear from you.
Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply with an updated resume. Candidates selected to move forward may be asked to provide a portfolio of relevant marketing work during the interview process.
We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.
