Full job description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Prep & Line cook to prepare food items, dishes and recipes for our market and restaurant. Our business is very busy during the business hours. We are looking for this person to work during late evening/early morning hours.

The Prep Cook will perform basic cooking duties, follow recipes, and help in preparing high-quality meals.

Duties:
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients
- Measure ingredients and seasonings to be used in cooking
- Prepare dishes such as salads, entrees, dips, sauces, pasta dishes, lasagna etc..
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, and organizing supplies
- Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines

Skills:
- Proven experience as a Cook
- Knowledge of various cooking methods and procedures
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
- Basic math skills for measurements
- Excellent communication skills to work as part of a team
- Experience in the food industry or restaurant environment
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils
- Proficiency in meal preparation techniques
