Full job description

We are seeking a motivated, disciplined, and results-driven Full-Time Sales Representative to join our growing restaurant supply and wholesale distribution business in Mississauga.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and growing relationships with existing customers while actively generating new business opportunities. This position requires a strong sales mindset, excellent communication skills, regular client visits, and the ability to work independently while reporting to the Mississauga office on a daily basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing restaurant, food-service, hospitality, and wholesale clients.
  • Generate new business through prospecting, cold calling, referrals, networking, lead generation, and in-person visits.
  • Visit existing and prospective clients regularly to promote products and develop new sales opportunities.
  • Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable restaurant supply and food-service products.
  • Prepare quotations, follow up on customer inquiries, and close sales opportunities.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the company’s overall revenue growth.
  • Identify new markets, customer segments, and business opportunities throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer visits, sales activities, leads, quotations, and follow-ups.
  • Provide regular updates and sales reports to management.
  • Coordinate with the office, warehouse, purchasing, and delivery teams to ensure customer requirements are handled efficiently.
  • Address customer concerns professionally and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Represent the company professionally during client meetings, trade events, and business development activities.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Previous sales experience in the restaurant supply, food-service, wholesale distribution, hospitality, packaging, janitorial, or related industry is preferred.
  • Strong ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships.
  • Proven ability to generate new clients and meet sales targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, disciplined, reliable, and highly organized.
  • Comfortable with cold calling, prospecting, and meeting customers in person.
  • Must be able to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Must report to the Mississauga office daily and maintain regular communication with management.
  • Willing and able to travel throughout Mississauga, Brampton, Toronto, the GTA, and surrounding areas to meet clients.
  • A valid Ontario driver’s licence and reliable vehicle are preferred/required.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, email, CRM systems, and sales reporting is an asset.
  • Knowledge of restaurant and food-service products is a strong asset.
