Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals (Italian Cuisine an Asset) for banquet events, ensuring all dishes meet our standards for taste, presentation, and food safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing exceptional food service for large gatherings and special events. Candidates with a passion for food preparation, cooking, and delivering excellent customer service will thrive in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of banquet dishes according to menu specifications and event requirements
  • Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
  • Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
  • Collaborate with catering staff to ensure timely delivery of meals during events
  • Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to uphold high standards
  • Follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in taste and appearance
  • Assist with meal plating and presentation to enhance visual appeal for guests

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within the food industry or restaurant environment
  • Italian Cuisine Knowledge and experience required
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
  • Strong skills in serving, meal preparation, and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy banquet events
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Experience with food handling equipment and techniques used in large-scale food service operations
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed for banquet schedules
  • Prior restaurant or catering experience is preferred but not mandatory; a passion for culinary arts is essential

Pay: From $40,000.00 per year
