Calgary Progressive Lifestyles Foundation (CPLF) is seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Respite Provider. This role is ideal for someone with a wheelchair-accessible home in Calgary who is passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others.

As a Respite Provider, you will support an adult male with a disability! You will play an important role in fostering independence, encouraging community participation, and supporting social and recreational activities that promote personal growth and overall well-being.

Job Requirements

  • A wheelchair-accessible home located in Calgary, AB - this includes ramps, lifts, transfers, and a wheel-in shower
  • Police Information Check with Vulnerable Sector Search (completed within the last two years)
  • A compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach
  • Previous experience in disability support is considered an asset
  • A reliable vehicle and a valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • If hired, $2 million third-party liability vehicle insurance is required
  • Standard First Aid (Level C) certification (must be obtained within 3 months of hire)
  • General Commercial Liability Insurance (required upon hire)

  • Medication Administration
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention
  • Abuse Protocol
  • Positive Behavior Support
