Full job description

Are you ready to launch a powerful career on the front lines of the booming renewable energy sector? Geothermal Solutions is looking for a dedicated and hardworking Drilling Assistant to join our team. As Ontario’s leading Geothermal Loop contractor, our industry is expanding rapidly, and we are looking for driven individuals who want to build a long-term career, learn a specialized trade, and grow directly into leadership roles. Our company proudly promotes from within, so starting positions are always changing as you work your way up.

This is an incredible, year-round opportunity offering an average of 10–12 hour days, a competitive starting wage of $20 - $30 per hour (depending on related work history), and full benefits. We respect your time, which is why your hourly wage is paid from the moment you arrive at the shop, all the way to the site, and back, including a paid lunch. We provide the company vehicles and on-the-job training; you bring the strong work ethic and the grit to tackle Ontario's diverse outdoor elements.

The Role: Learning and Earning on the Front Lines

In this role, you aren’t just helping out—you are an essential part of the heartbeat of the job site. Working closely with our experienced team, you will assist the Drill Rig Operator in the safe setup of drilling rigs and the process for completing vertical boreholes for state-of-the-art geothermal systems.

A typical day starts at the shop, where you will help prep vehicles, ensure all drilling materials and equipment are loaded, and handle fueling and inspections before departure. Out in the field, you will utilize your hand-eye coordination and power tool expertise to assist with the drilling process, monitor operations, and maintain excellent safety standards. When the job is done, you will assist with the teardown, clean-up, and demobilization, ensuring our fleet and equipment return to the shop organized, free of debris, and ready for the next challenge.

What You Bring to the Team

We are looking for hardworking team players who are eager to work and learn. Experience in earthworks or drilling is an asset, but it is not necessary because complete on-the-job training will be provided. You must have a valid G2 driver's license at minimum, reliable transit to our shop, and the physical stamina to handle active, outdoor, and sometimes very muddy field environments alongside your crew. Most importantly, you bring excellent communication skills, a great attitude, a familiarity with power tools, and an absolute commitment to safety.

Stop bouncing from job to job and start building a real future for yourself with an exciting, full-time career that offers massive room to expand.

We look forward to meeting you—Apply Today!
