Job Overview

The Truck Dispatcher coordinates freight movements, communicates with drivers and partners, and keeps shipment information current. This role supports reliable transportation and supply chain operations by helping shipments move smoothly and ensuring colleagues have accurate updates.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate freight pickups, deliveries, and schedule changes with drivers, customers, and 3PL partners.
  • Use transportation management systems and tools such as AS400 or SyteLine to enter shipment details, track loads, and update records.
  • Handle calls using multi-line phone systems, applying professional phone etiquette and clear communication to resolve routine questions.
  • Review shipping and receiving information, perform data entry, and use analysis skills to identify delays or discrepancies.
  • Your impact: Timely, accurate dispatch updates help colleagues coordinate work and keep customers informed.

Experience

Required: Clear communication, accurate typing and data entry, and confidence handling calls and shipment details are essential to coordinating freight and maintaining reliable records. Preferred: Experience with transportation management systems, supply chain operations, 3PL coordination, AS400, SyteLine, shipping and receiving, or freight analysis is advantageous.
