Latitude Child and Youth Services is a 4-bed residential treatment facility located in Oakville, Ontario. We provide services for youth and adults who have been diagnosed with complex special needs (ASD, ADHD, Epilepsy, Dual Diagnosis etc.)

We are currently looking for part-time support workers. As a support worker you would be responsible for the following:

  • Actively participating and initiating integration into community activities
  • Implementing assigned individual treatment and behaviour support plans
  • Provide emotional and physical support to individuals who may require assistance with daily life skills, anger management, social skills and other areas of need
  • Administer medications
  • Complete daily logs, incident reports, medication charts and other legal documents
  • Comply with all policies and procedures as established by the agency and the Ministry of Children, Community and Social Services

Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Driving clients to and from appointments and/or community outings
  • Attending appointments with clients
  • Helping clients with daily hygiene routines
  • Completing household chores
  • Adhering to Health and Safety standards
  • Interacting professionally and effectively with co-workers, parents and other professionals

Qualification Requirements

  • Child & Youth Worker/Social Service Worker/Developmental Service Worker or a diploma in a related field combined with a minimum of 12 months working experience
  • Experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) is an asset, but willing to train the right person
  • Provide clearance under the Criminal Reference Check program for Vulnerable Persons
  • Pre-employment medical certificate with updated immunizations
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates
  • Ability to work shift work
  • Valid Ontario G class driver's license in good standing and access to own vehicle
  • Have a solid command of the English language and the ability to complete formal documentation

Salary: $23.00 - $28.00
