The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) has 1 (one) exciting fixed-term opportunity up to November 5, 2027 within the Technology branch at the Montreal–Trudeau International Airport (YUL).

Summary of responsibilities:

The Regional Advisor, Deployment Planning and Execution supports the Regional Leader/Regional Advisor to provide the overall coordination and scheduling of the various teams for project tasks including CATSA program deployment, logistics, New Technology Introduction, Service Delivery, Airport Authority, movers/riggers, electrical/data contractors, and shippers. In addition, the incumbent will be required to attend deployments on-site to ensure successful delivery, installation, testing, and Go-Lives. Extensive travel will be required throughout the Region.

What you need to succeed

To qualify for the position, you must have:

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with specialization in logistics, technology, engineering, or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position.

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a technology environment involving equipment deployments.

  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience scheduling, planning and project management for the deployment, delivery and installation (in a commercial or industrial environment) of heavy and complex pieces of equipment.

  • Experience planning and overseeing a schedule and project tracking activities.

  • Knowledge of root cause failure analysis of equipment.

  • Knowledge of logistics management practices and principles.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.

  • Ability to plan, prioritize, multi-task and work cross functionally throughout the organization.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and propose creative solutions.

  • Ability to analyze and provide recommendations.


Valuable skills include:

  • Knowledge of airport operations and the airline industry.

  • Experience in deployments related to aviation, security or screening technology.

  • Understanding of project management principles and methodologies.

  • Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation impacting CATSA.


Specific work requirements:


  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Language Profile: BBBB/BBBB

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Reliability security clearance.
