Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and organized Dental Receptionist/Licensed Assistant to join our dental practice. This role is essential in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of the front office. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, familiarity with dental software , and a professional demeanor. Prior experience in dental is highly valued, along with proficiency in electronic medical records and multi-line phone systems. This position offers an opportunity to work in a friendly, patient-focused environment where attention to detail and excellent communication are paramount.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and efficiently manage the front desk operations
  • Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using dental practice management software such as Tracker
  • Verify patient insurance information and assist with billing inquiries
  • Maintain accurate patient records within electronic medical records systems
  • Answer multi-line phone systems promptly and professionally, directing calls as needed
  • Collect payments and process transactions accurately at the front desk
  • Assist with administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and correspondence
  • Prepare treatment rooms and assist with patient check-in/check-out procedures
  • Support clinical staff with administrative duties as needed, including managing supplies and documentation
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a dental receptionist is preferred.
  • Proficiency with dental practice management software such as Tracker is highly desirable
  • Strong knowledge of dental terminology
  • Experience working with electronic medical records (EMRs) systems
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to handle multi-line phone systems efficiently while maintaining professionalism
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Office experience demonstrating administrative competence in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team
  • Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a healthcare setting
  • Must be on time/tardiness is not acceptable
