Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This is a critical role in our healthcare facility, and we are looking for a dedicated professional who is committed to providing high-quality patient care.

Duties:
- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients for imaging procedures
- Operate imaging equipment
- Position patients and ensure their comfort during imaging procedures
- Monitor patients during procedures to ensure their safety and well-being
- Capture images of organs, tissues, and bones using specialized imaging techniques
- Analyze images for quality and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to interpret imaging results
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed
- Adhere to CNSC (Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission) radiation safety and licensing protocols

Experience:

• Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist MRT (N)
• Active member of CMRITO and CAMRT in good standing
• Current CPR
• Current liability insurance
• Minimum one (1) year experience in nuclear medicine
• Proficiency in operating nuclear medicine imaging equipment
• Cardiac experience considered an asset
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Compensation:

• Signing bonus for full-time employment
• Wages start at $45.63 per hour, rate increases thereafter per collective bargaining agreement.
• HOOPP (Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan) pension plan, company provided scrubs, free parking and generous extended health benefits. and paid time off.
