Role: Avionics Systems Requirements Engineer

Location: Montreal, QC (Onsite)

Duration: Contract (with potential extension) / FTE

Mandatory Skills:

· Hands-on experience developing Avionics System Requirements for aircraft programs

· Prior experience working with an Aircraft OEM or major aerospace supplier

· Strong understanding of Systems Engineering, Requirements Development, and Requirements Management

· Knowledge of ARP4754A or equivalent aircraft/system development methodology

· Experience creating clear, traceable, testable, and certification-ready requirements

· Experience maintaining bidirectional traceability across system, architecture, interface, and verification requirements

· Experience supporting requirements reviews, validation activities, and quality checks

· Strong technical documentation and communication skills

· Experience working with cross-functional teams including systems, safety, software, hardware, suppliers, and certification teams

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and author avionics system requirements

· Translate stakeholder, safety, aircraft-level, and system needs into clear and testable requirements

· Ensure requirements are complete, consistent, verifiable, and aligned with program objectives

· Support certification-driven development activities

· Maintain requirements traceability using appropriate tools

· Identify gaps, conflicts, and ambiguities in requirements and recommend solutions

· Support design reviews, technical discussions, and closure of review comments

Preferred Skills:

· Experience with avionics subsystems such as:

o Flight Management Systems (FMS)

o Datalink

o Radio Navigation

o HUD

o Air Data Systems

o IRS

o Communications

o Surveillance Systems

o Cockpit Displays

o Aircraft Interface Systems

· Experience with certification-driven aircraft development programs

· Experience with DO-related standards
