About the Role

Under the direction of the Information & Reporting Manager, the Business Intelligence Developer III is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing data intelligence solutions that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. This role works closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop scalable analytics solutions while maintaining high standards for quality, performance, and customer service.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders to develop analytics solutions using Power BI and other emerging BI tools
• Transform business requirements into effective BI solutions
• Design, build, and deploy robust BI reporting frameworks and data visualization tools
• Maintain and support data analytics and reporting systems for optimal performance and reliability
• Monitor BI platform performance, manage user permissions, and ensure infrastructure scalability
• Evaluate, improve, and upgrade existing BI systems as needed
• Manage development ticket queues with a focus on quality, problem-solving, and efficient delivery
• Conduct unit testing, troubleshooting, and quality assurance on analytics deliverables
• Provide advanced data analysis through database querying with T-SQL or PySpark, ETL, and data pipelines
• Develop data models to ensure efficient data processing and accessibility
• Generate strategic insights from data and translate findings into actionable recommendations
• Serve as a subject matter expert by providing technical leadership and mentorship to the analytics team
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements to tools, architecture, and processes
• Support cross-functional business initiatives through data-driven decision making
• Develop and maintain technical documentation and provide training to end users
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Post-secondary education in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field is required
• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, or related roles is required
• Advanced proficiency in T-SQL and relational databases is required
• Advanced proficiency in data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL processes is required
• Experience with Power BI (Power BI Services, Desktop, Power Query, DAX, Administration) is required
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric (Lakehouse, OneLake, Notebooks) or equivalent is required
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, PySpark, or R is an asset
• Experience with Cognos v11.x (Framework Manager, Report Studio, Administration, Motio PI/CI) is an asset
• Experience with IBM iSeries and DB2 is an asset
• Intermediate skill with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel) is required
• Fluent in English with proven competencies in verbal and written communication is required
• Fluent in French with proven competencies in verbal and written communication is an asset
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills are required
• Successful completion of employment, credit, criminal, education background checks including employer reference and verification before employment is required

Pay: $84,000.00-$105,900.00 per year
